It's been quite some time since I set a new PR! My last PR was set at the St. George Marathon in 2011 to be exact. In that race, I set out to break the 3 hour mark, but fell short by 1 minute and 57 seconds. Ever since, I have had multiple marathon finishes hovering just over 3 hours. I have really struggled to figure out how to mix the proper training and nutrition.
With this race, I discovered that dropping a few extra pounds could really unlock some of my potential.
